Here at Kingsthorpe College we understand that the move up to secondary school can be a daunting time for both children and their parents.
We believe that by working closely with families and primary schools during this time, we can help the transition to be a positive experience for everyone involved.
The purpose of this section of our website is to provide information to year 6 pupils who have been allocated a place in year 7 at Kingsthorpe College starting in September 2020. If you are looking to appeal to get your child a place at Kingsthorpe College please contact email@example.com and we will do our very best to guide you through the process.

Transition days provide an opportunity for students to experience what life at Kingsthorpe College is like. This year we have two transition days taking place on Monday 8th & Tuesday 9th July. During these days students will take part in a variety of fun taster lessons and meet lots of new friends and teachers. Students should arrive at Kingsthorpe College at 8.30am in their present primary school uniform, along with a pencil case and trainers. Students can bring a packed lunch or purchase lunch in our canteen for approximately £2.50. Both days will finish at 2.30pm.
Parent Information Evening
After the transition days, parents and carers are invited to come into Kingsthorpe College at 5.30pm on Tuesday 9th July. They will be provided with the opportunity to talk to staff and ask any questions they may have.
Our Transition team is more than happy to answer any questions that you might have. Please call 01604 716106 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
