We are very pleased to announce that we have introduced a fantastic new way to communicate and share information with you, our parent community. At Kingsthorpe College we want you to feel as much a part of your children’s education as possible. With the increased use of smart phone technology we want to make best use of it.
My Ed is the free app for parents and carers that gives you a multitude of communication and information features to stay in touch with what is going on at school. The app gives you direct access to your child's attendance, timetable, absence records and much, much more. You will also see that we update and change the information in the app as the school year moves along.
We are able to send you messages directly to the My Ed app relating to important information about your child's education and to remind you of events that are taking place at school. You will receive a notification if we send you a message and there is no charge for the messages you send to us via the app.

How to download My Ed
The My Ed app is available for both Apple iOS and Android devices and can be found using the links below:
Once you have installed and opened My Ed, search for Kingsthorpe College and follow the simple instructions to identify yourself. The app will connect you with your students’ details the following working day.

My Ed Frequently Asked Questions
Q. I have downloaded the app but cannot select my child.
A. The app only allows the Priority 1 contact the select the student. Please contact Student Services for this to be amended.
Q. I have more than 1 student at the school can I select them all.
A. Yes once downloaded you will be able to select all your children linked to you.
Q. I do not know what the codes BX and AC eg stand for within the achievement tab.
A. Please request the KC achievement Points 2018-2019 Guide.
Q. Can I make payments via the app.
A. At present the only payments that can be made are for school trips. This is under review and all payments should soon be able to be made via the app including student lunch money.
