Our main function is to sing for the main 10am Sunday service and at seasonal and special services, including the occasional 6pm Sunday BCP Choral Evensong. We are also invited to sing at most of the Saturday weddings at St. John the Baptist. We are always happy to welcome new members, both young people and adults. |4U Community Café - St David's Church, Eastern Avenue South, Northampton NN2 7QB||Open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays 10am-1.30pm. The Café provides a central hub for local residents and offers good quality food and drink as well as a safe environment for families and people of all ages to meet. The Café is a not-for-profit project run by local volunteers and is part of a nationwide project called 'The Real Junk Food Project'. We reclaim food from the local supermarkets that would otherwise go to waste. The Café operates a 'pay as you feel' policy which means that you can come and eat good healthy food for a donation of your choice. We serve a cooked breakfast and a varied menu of hot dinners. The 4U Community Café also aims to promote friendly and social activities such as Knit & Natter (11am - 4th Tuesdays), Carpet Bowls Club (alternate Saturdays) and a monthly two course Community Lunch (12 Noon - 2nd Tuesdays) for a £5 donation. |30/09/2017||Town Centre Street Circus||Northampton Town Centre||Northampton town centre will come alive with spectacular circus acts, street entertainers and walkabout performances for the whole family to enjoy – for one day only on Saturday 30th September, 11am-4pm. The back-to-back shows are being funded by Northampton town centre Business Improvement District (BID) and will include stilt balloon modelling, a unique shopping trolley dance and display act and daredevil acrobatics on the Market Square and All Saints Piazza in the town centre. There will be a chance for members of the public to get involved too, with plate spinning workshops and free face painting.|
